Daniela Martinez
Daniela graduated from the professional massage therapy program at Cortiva Institute where she received training in Swedish, Neuromuscular, Sports, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Release techniques. Daniela is also a licensed physical therapist with extensive working knowledge of human anatomy and experience working with individuals experiencing different orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions such as postural issues, soft tissue strains from sports, and trauma issues due to injuries.
Daniela believes that her role as a massage therapist and physical therapist is to facilitate an individual’s deeper connection with the body and a greater awareness of the physical self. Massage can be very effective at increasing and heightening that body awareness, resulting in improved mobility, decreased injury, and deeper breaths. Her aim is to provide individualized therapeutic treatments that meet the client’s unique needs, integrating different massage modalities, and incorporating training and knowledge from massage therapy and physical therapy. The goal is to facilitate a more profound mind-body connection.
In line with her belief in the significance of body awareness, Daniela is a dancer and student of modern dance. She incorporates much of what she has learned about movement and the human form from dance in the education she shares with her clients.
